Variable Speed Foot Pedal for use with Tank Type Compressors (Primarily)
The Variable speed foot pedal is perfect for those wanting to control the speed of their engraving tool with foot pressure.
Sometimes it’s nice to slow the tool down while engraving or carving.
Press anywhere on the round surface of this pedal to increase air pressure and speed up your engraver. Let off and the speed of your tool will decrease. When you lift your foot off the pedal, the air is cut off to the regulator, causing your rotary tool to stop (of course).
The round pedal is about 5 inches in diameter and comes complete with 7′ of tubing.
One of the tubes will connect to the OUT port of your filter/regulator and the other tube will connect to your handpiece.
The reason why we recommend this foot pedal for tank type compressors is that many engravers/carvers are using an electric foot pedal to operate the compressor. Unless you’re more talented than I am, I doubt you want to be operating your compressor with one foot and the speed of your handpiece with the other foot.
Don’t get the Variable Speed Foot Pedal confused with an Electric Foot Control. They are not the same thing.
The variable speed foot pedal is connected after the filter/regulator to control the amount of air pressure being delivered to the handpiece while an Electric Foot control is a switch that is used for powering the compressor.
